Grant Cardone

Sales trainer and entrepreneur who built Cardone Enterprises into a global sales training operation and Cardone Capital into a multi-hundred-million-dollar real estate fund.

About

Grant Cardone grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and entered car sales in his early twenties after a period of personal instability he has documented publicly, including drug addiction in his teens and early twenties. He describes that experience as the inflection point that made aggressive ambition a survival orientation rather than an optional trait. Over the following decades, he built Cardone Enterprises, a sales training company that provides consulting and training programs to automobile dealerships, financial services firms, and large corporate clients across multiple industries.

The 10X Rule (2011) became his signature work — a distillation of the sales philosophy that multiplying both goals and activity by ten is the only reliable protection against mediocrity. He followed it with Be Obsessed or Be Average (2016), which extended the same premise into a broader framework for single-minded focus. His earlier Sell or Be Sold (2011) had laid out the foundational sales doctrine that underlay both books.

In 2012, Cardone began building Cardone Capital, a real estate investment fund that by the early 2020s had raised several hundred million dollars from retail investors, marketed heavily through social media and YouTube, where his channel has grown to millions of subscribers. His annual 10X Growth Conference draws tens of thousands of attendees to Las Vegas. He operates primarily as a media personality and sales educator, and his work reflects a sales practitioner’s worldview: volume, persistence, and unapologetic ambition are the primary variables.
