John David Mann is an award-winning author whose books have sold over 3 million copies and been published in 38 languages. His background is unusual for a business writer: he was a concert cellist, prize-winning composer, and — at 17 — helped found and lead a peer-based high school before building a multimillion-dollar sales organization in the 1980s.
That combination of artistic and entrepreneurial experience shapes his writing. Mann’s work consistently translates complex principles into narrative form with precision. His best-known collaboration is The Go-Giver series with Bob Burg, beginning with the original parable in 2007 and expanding through Go-Givers Sell More, The Go-Giver Leader, and The Go-Giver Influencer. Together the series has sold over 1 million copies.
Beyond the Go-Giver series, Mann has co-authored with Navy SEAL Brandon Webb (The Red Circle, STEEL FEAR), futurist Daniel Burrus (Flash Foresight), and Jeff Olson (The Slight Edge). His work with Betsy Myers, Take the Lead, was named Best Leadership Book of 2011 by Tom Peters and the Washington Post. His awards include the Nautilus Award, the Axiom Business Book Award (Gold Medal), and Taiwan’s Golden Book Award for Innovation.
